The EDM is calibrated for GEM J-type thermocouples. Call Technical Support at: 800-345-4574.

GEM uses K type EGT/TIT probes, but uses ‘J’ type CHT probes/wires. Best for the customer to go back to GEM for probe replacement.

The GEM adapter for EDM-700 has a connector on the bottom of the instrument and if it has a clearance problem under the instrument, JPI has two(2) adapters. One that exits directly rearward of the instrument straight back. Or one that goes straight down 90 degrees.

Not necessarily. We have an adapter and the probes are “almost” as fast. Specify standard adapter that protrudes below back of unit by about 1 inch or optional rear adapter that protrudes about 2 inches out the rear of the unit.
