J.P. Instrument's Latest-- GPS Guided Moving Maps,
The Nav 2000 Line
The
navigation software market is full of moving map software
to run on your laptop PC. However, JP Instruments realized
that such was not always the most suitable and practical
platform to view a moving map while flying.
Therefore,
we have again taken up the challenge to provide pilots
with a more functional and practical solution. We have
developed a portable or stationary general purpose Pentium
speed computer with the highest and brightest resolution
currently available; ten times brighter than any laptop,
and not 1/4 VGA.
We
are confident that our display is not only clearly readable
in the brightest sunlight, but that no other display
in the market and price range compares to our innovative
design, which is also available as a self-contained
unit. The 6.5" diagonal display is capable of being
tethered 25 ft. from the CPU box. The Nav-2000 is also
third party developer friendly and comes standard with
a Garmin GPs It can also run a wide variety of moving
map software, including Mentor Flitemap and RMS Vista.
The
GPs plugs into the serial port of the NAV-2000 and gets
its power directly from the CPU unit. A touch-screen
is also available, a mouse accessory comes standard,
and a remote keyboard is also included for use when
installing or altering software or parameters. Take
the NAV-2000 in any plane, boat, or car and you will
quickly realize the difference and superiority of this
newest line of JP Instruments' products! Nav-2000 LE
The Nav-2000LE was specifically designed with search/rescue
and law enforcement in mind, however, its applications
are numerous. We have used our fifteen years of aviation
instrumentation experience to design a navigation computer
that is suitable to be used in production aircraft,
but also tailored for the need of emergency vehicle
operators.
This
Nav-2000 is can be mounted in any vehicle for instantaneous
GPs positioning on street or aerial maps, and with any
map software. It has photosensitive automatic dimming,
or the screen may be shut off instantly by switch. Because
it was designed for use in emergency vehicles, it can
withstand the bumps of normal roads, and keep operating
without interruption.
Ideal
for vehicles with large areas to cover, but even better
for quicker response. The Nav-2000 LE can also be used
in coordination with aerial maps so that ground position
may be relayed to patrol aircraft and other ground vehicles
simultaneously. These units can also be used in conjunction
with any other PC based software, or hardware, including
radio modems or cellular modems. These units come standard
with the features below, but additional features or
options can be added by request, when bought in quantity.
